At 56, I can say these are great points. But I’d emphasize the value of relationships and family beyond what you posit in #6. Having been to a lot of weddings and funerals, at the side of dying loved ones, and with the same guy for 40 years, I’ve felt the power of loyal and loving relationships—the people you can count on through all of life’s chapters.
“What fulfills you is the person you become along the way.” Evolving each day without stagnation or recrimination, just remaining eager to enjoy the process.
I love this so apologies for being picky. Process and Journey are not the same thing to me. I have a pathological aversion to process - I either developed this from years of working in consultancy or I became a consultant because I hate process, not sure which.
For me the journey is about curiosity. Doing, exploring and learning. Process conjures up repetition and staleness in my mind.

Y Colombianas ... wasting time con las otras chicas.
Not sure when my Midlife begins (or ends) but this is a collection of profound truths that I completely agree with.

Absolutely. Happy birthday! I turned 64 yesterday (and ran 7.6 miles to celebrate).
Hit me right between the eyes, Brad. 3, 5, and 14 especially.
